On wednesday I run with the great help of Maurizio Ostuni (the Lotus guy sent over to help us) the first italian Lotus Foundations enablement for IBM/Lotus partners on Lotus Foundations Start.
One of the questions that were raised was about which version of SuSE Linux Enterprise server is used in the core of the new Lotus Foundations product. This "detail" makes a huge difference in how much hardware is supported by the product itself.
At first I didn't know the answer so we asked to Allen Reid from Lotus Foundations support. He confirmed that LFS is running on SLES 10 SP1 since release 1.0.0. This is a great news, it means we've good support for a lot of hardware (mostly raid controllers and network cards) that were not supported with SLES 10 (which is more than one year old).
Good stuff.
