Since the release of Domino 8.5 beta 1 I upgraded my server to it (yes, the one running www.vistalli.it) later I also updated my mailbox to the DWA 8.5 template and discovered a welcome (finally) new feature.

Starting with Domino 8.5 (maybe with 8.0.2 in late agoust) the DWA mailbox is supporting multiple languages out of the box. According to the browser's locale you get the UI with your language's text for all the menus/features.

This is a welcome (and due IMHO) addition that can help to simplify the deployment of domino environments in the case we just use e-mail (maybe web mail). No need to deploy a language pack just to get the translated webmail interface. Since 8.5 it's out of the box.

You can see a sample of the italian translation in the action bar and in the header menu. There's still some work to do but it looks good so far.
